Privacy Policy

This policy describes the data Calman handles and how it is used. The same policy is shown inside the app under Settings → Privacy.

What we store

Your account email, profile details you enter (sex, birth date, height, weight, activity level, goal, meal plan), your weigh-ins and body-composition readings, the meals, foods, and workouts you log, and any progress photos you add.

Where it lives

Your data is stored in your Calman account on our backend. Meal and progress photos are kept in private storage tied to your account and are never publicly accessible. Photos you scan are analyzed by an AI model solely to estimate the nutrition in the photo.

How it is used

Only to power the app for you — calorie targets, trends, charts, weekly coach notes, and reminders. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

Health data

Body-composition figures are estimates, not medical measurements. Calman is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Apple Health data, when you choose to connect it, is read only to adjust your daily calorie budget and is never shared with anyone.

Your control & deletion

You can edit your profile at any time. In the app, Settings → Delete account permanently erases your account and all associated data — meals, weigh-ins, photos, badges, and your plan. You can also request deletion by email and we will complete it within 24 hours.
